Microsoft Access training delivered through 2019 — multiple Access Level 1 (Beginner) sessions running from early July into early September. The engagement was brokered through Lakeview Training, one of the small Niagara-region training brands I worked with during that era.
Why Access is a different kind of teaching
Microsoft Access has the steepest mental jump of any common Office-suite product. The model is relational, the language is closer to programming than to spreadsheets, and the people who arrive in an Access class are often there because the spreadsheet they have been maintaining for a year finally broke under its own weight.
Five sessions across that summer carried the same curriculum to different rooms — small groups, hands-on practice, the kind of database-design conversation that doesn’t fit on a slide.
