Quillwork is a quiet, literary theme for people whose work is words: writers, editors, and anyone building a personal brand around what they have to say. It’s built to get out of the way. A calm reading column, type that breathes, and nothing on the page fighting your sentences.

Cormorant Garamond carries every headline, including the h1, the largest-paint element on every template, paired with DM Sans for navigation, bylines, and meta. Both are self-hosted; nothing phones home to a font CDN. The palette is a deep teal and a warm ochre on cream, restrained enough to stay out of a reader’s way while still feeling considered rather than default.

The homepage and about page run on real editorial patterns: a numbered service card, a stat block for credentials or figures, a highlight quote treatment, and an eyebrow label for section headers. The vocabulary a personal-brand writer’s site actually needs, built as native block patterns rather than a page-builder plugin.

Quillwork was the first theme in this collection to clear the full WordPress.org review process and reach the public directory: the reviewed, live baseline the rest of the collection’s accessibility and packaging standards trace back to.
