Sleep Country Canada — headless jQuery store-locator on the existing ASP.NET back end, 2015

Headless jQuery store locator rebuild for Sleep Country Canada — decoupled from their ASP.NET WebForms backend, mobile and desktop, spring 2015.

Sleep Country Canada is one of Canada’s largest mattress and sleep products retailers, operating hundreds of store locations across the country. This engagement was a focused front-end rebuild of their store locator tool, spring 2015.

What was built

The existing store locator was tightly coupled to the site’s ASP.NET WebForms backend. The redesign decoupled it entirely — running the locator headless, with jQuery consuming the ASP.NET data outputs and handling all search, geolocation, and rendering on the client side. The result worked across both mobile and desktop, giving customers a responsive nearest-store search without a full-page ASP.NET postback cycle.

  • Stack: jQuery (headless front end) + ASP.NET WebForms (existing back end)
  • Scope: Store locator tool redesign — mobile and desktop
  • Period: Spring 2015
  • Client: Sleep Country Canada
