Monthly-updated resource hub for Corel WordPerfect Office Suite users — one of five Corel community properties maintained by the in-house web team.
OfficeCommunity.com was Corel’s loyalty and resource site for WordPerfect Office users: small business owners and home-office professionals who needed tips, templates, and community between product releases. The site ran on a monthly refresh cycle — new content each month to keep people coming back.
What I contributed
As Senior Web Developer on the Corel web team, I produced web graphics and ran QA on each monthly content release, publishing the updates to the shared CMS. The site was part of a five-property network — alongside Designer.com, CorelCity.com, Linux.corel.com, and corel.com itself — with cross-property tab navigation and a shared image pipeline. Regular content included WordPerfect 9 and Quattro Pro 9 tips and tricks, macro downloads, partner business articles, and a Corel eStore integration.
Stack and context
HTML 3.2/4 tables, JavaScript rollovers, Corel eStore integration, Corel XARA, CorelDRAW 9 & 10, WordPerfect Office 2000. Wayback Machine confirms the site live from at least October 1999 through late 2002, with 30+ confirmed captures.
Work completed as Senior Web Developer, Corel Corporation, 2000–2001. Listed in the rodonic.com portfolio (Christopher Ross and David McGregor).
