CorelCity.com was Corel Corporation®’s public web portal for clients, business partners, and general visitors — news headlines, web search, directories, and a category index that wrapped much of Corel’s external surface area in one place. I worked on the team that produced it, on the web-graphics and quality-assurance side.

The work
Web graphics and QA contributor on the CorelCity portal, working alongside the editorial team that drove the headlines and directory updates. Same toolchain as the rest of the Corel web estate: Corel XaRa, WordPerfect® Office 2000, Corel R.A.V.E., CorelDRAW® 9 and 10.
I was a member of the web team — not the auteur of this portal. After Corel, David McGregor and I co-founded Rodonic Corporation, where the period attribution for this work was first documented.
Other Corel-era properties
Same web team, same period: the corel.com homepage, the Corel LINUX Community, and the Corel Store at buy.corel.com. Portal-style information architecture is a thread that still runs through my website-design and development practice today.
