Compliance training is mandatory education that makes sure employees understand the laws, regulations, and internal policies their job has to follow. Common topics include harassment prevention, data privacy rules like GDPR and PIPEDA, workplace health and safety, anti-money-laundering, and codes of conduct. What sets it apart from ordinary professional development is that it's legally required, and the organization has to keep records proving everyone completed it on time. That record-keeping is one of the main reasons companies adopt a learning management system, since tracking enrollments, reminders, and certificates by hand across a big workforce is close to impossible.
