  2. On the main screen, tap the “Settings” icon at the top right corner.
  3. In the Settings menu, select “Account”.
  4. Within the Account menu, select “Verify Your Phone Number”.
  5. Enter your phone number in the box provided and tap “Verify”.
  6. WhatsApp will send you a verification code via SMS.
  7. Enter the verification code you received in the box provided and tap “Verify”.
  8. You will be prompted to create a profile picture and a status. You can do this or skip it if you do not wish to.
  9. You will then be taken to the main screen of WhatsApp and your account will be verified.
