Social media has become an integral part of modern society, and it’s no surprise that young adults are particularly active users of the various platforms. According to data from the Pew Research Center, nearly 80 percent of Americans between the ages of 18 and 29 are active social media users. So which social media platforms are the most popular among young adults? Let’s take a look.

Facebook is the most popular social media platform among young adults in America. According to data from the Pew Research Center, 81 percent of 18- to 29-year-olds are active users of the site. Facebook’s popularity is followed by Instagram, which is used by 72 percent of young adults. YouTube also ranks high among young adults, with 68 percent of them being active users.

Other popular social media platforms among young adults include Twitter (41 percent), Snapchat (35 percent), and LinkedIn (25 percent). It’s clear that Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter are the most popular social media platforms for young adults in America, with Snapchat and LinkedIn being less popular.

It’s worth noting that young adults are also more likely to use some of the newer social media platforms, such as TikTok (17 percent) and Reddit (10 percent). This suggests that younger generations are more likely to be early adopters of emerging social media platforms.

Overall, it’s clear that Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter are the most popular social media platforms for young adults in America. While other platforms such as Snapchat, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Reddit are less popular, they are growing in popularity among young adults.
