Setting up a Tumblr theme can help businesses reach a larger audience, create a more professional presence, and promote their products and services more effectively.

The default theme that comes along with Tumblr is good for casual blogging but if you want to create a stronger image for your business on Tumblr, selecting a theme or creating a custom theme should be your next step. Here’s how to do that:

  1. Open the Tumblr Customizer at https://www.tumblr.com/customize/ to access your theme choices on the left-hand side.
  2. Review the basic profile information and colors to make sure they match your business.
  3. Scroll deep down past those options and you’ll find a number of options depending on your theme choice.

Look for options to include links back to a website, as well as a place to include social media websites and links to your store. The theme I use offers support for Snapchat, Blogger,  Spotify,  Reddit, Flickr, Behance, Dribbble, Medium, 500px, Github, Youtube, Vimeo,  Google Plus, Android App Store, Apple App Store, Shop, Yelp,  SoundCloud,  Pinterest,  Twitter,  Facebook, Website, and Disqus links to help build my social profiles across the web.
