Add Tumblr to IFTTT.
If you’re not familiar with IFTTT (If This Than That), I wouldn’t be surprised. It’s a hidden gem of an online marketing tool that more people should use.
At its core, IFTTT allows you to connect Internet-based services together, listen for something to happen, then do something else.
A great example of using IFTTT is with Tumblr, where you can listen for posts to be created on Tumblr, then reshare them on other social media websites or cause a limitless number of actions to be triggered. For example, you could reshare photo posts to Tumblr directly to Flickr, or you could turn on your Christmas lights at home whenever you post a new video.
To get started, you have to:
- Log into your IFTTT account (or create a free IFTTT account if you don’t have one).
- Add a new service by selecting Tumblr from the menu of almost a thousand services.
