With IFTTT and YouTube, you can easily create automated posts on social media channels like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. For example, you can set up a trigger that posts a link to your latest.

Once you’ve connected your IFTTT account to YouTube, be sure to take advantage of some of the great triggers that’ll help you automate your social media.

YouTube Triggers on IFTTT.

There are a few things IFTTT can do automatically for you in response to things you do on YouTube. It’s limited to outbound triggers only – there aren’t any things that IFTTT can do specifically to YouTube.

New liked video

Whenever you like a new video, you can have IFTTT do something. For example, I like to add likes automatically to a spreadsheet file on my Google Drive, so that when my personal social media accounts are running low, I can share wonderful YouTube content with my friends.

New public video uploaded by you

This is a powerful Trigger that can be used to cut down on the time you spend managing the day-to-day aspects of your social media. It activates whenever you post a new public video, and can be used to automatically post notifications to other social media websites, as well as Buffer to share across accounts IFTTT doesn’t have direct access to.

New public video from subscriptions

If you want to be notified whenever a channel you subscribe to has uploaded a post, you can select this Trigger and choose individual channels to react to. For example, I add each of my clients to this particular trigger and receive automated emails whenever a client I’m coaching shares a new video.
