Between 2018 and 2021, I designed and delivered training for Bass Pro Shops’ Tracker Boats division. The work combined two delivery models: LearnDash-based course development and live instructor-led training for teams who needed practical, role-specific learning.
At the same time, the organization was using an internal proprietary LMS built around SCORM delivery standards. That meant training content had to be structured for real-world learners and packaged to work reliably inside an enterprise SCORM environment.
I built training assets with that dual requirement in mind:
- Course content that could be organized cleanly in LearnDash for authoring and iteration
- SCORM-compatible learning packages for deployment in the internal LMS
- Live training sessions that reinforced digital content with hands-on discussion and direct coaching
- Role-relevant modules for operational teams, managers, and front-line staff
The project’s value came from connecting platform constraints to learning outcomes. Instead of treating SCORM packaging as a technical afterthought, I designed content so it remained practical and teachable both online and in live sessions.
This engagement strengthened a delivery model I still use today: build for system compatibility, but teach for real people. Tools and standards matter, but training only works when teams can apply it in the flow of day-to-day work.
